I have delayed this review for a while now but here it is now! If you are an etude fan you’d probably know that not so long ago they came out with a Minnie mouse collection. I was really hyped up about this collection and although I wanted all of the products (since they were so cute) I only picked out 3 products from the collection. One of them being the lipstick.
First dilemma I encountered while buying the lipstick, is not knowing what colour to get. This product comes in two colours, bubble pink and minnie red. Initially I wanted to get bubble pink but I saw some swatches and it looked like minnie red seemed better and less likely to settle into lines.
First of all, isn’t the packaging so adorable! I must admit it looks better in reality since you can actually see that it’s high quality. At first when I saw the pictures online I thought it would be a so-so quality product but it was good quality, as expected from etude house.
I absolutely love the packaging, especially the little minnie print on the lipstick, although the minnie print may come across as being a little childish looking, its fine by me!
The product itself is a deep red which is surprisingly creamy and glides effortlessly on the lips. This product is different to the dear my recipe lipstick as the dear my recipe feels more like a sheer tinted lipbalm and this is more like the texture of an actual lipstick. This product is also pretty pigmented and there are different ways to wear it as shown in the picture below (credits to etude). Personally I like to apply it just in the middle to give a gradient lip effect and prevent my lips from looking too bold.
Although this product is hydrating it is still important to exfoliate and apply lipbalm to get the best results! I find that to make the lipstick even more long lasting I apply a lip tint that is similar in colour as a base, and normally this lasts for a while even when I eat.
I think this product would be great for etude house fans or disney fans or someone who is just looking for an affordable and quality lipstick. I might get it in bubble pink since I like the product a lot. If you are interested in purchasing this product I would recommend beautynetkorea since they sell it for a lower price then other stores I’ve searched, their service is great and they added free samples in my package. :D
November is coming to an end so quickly, probably because I’ve been pretty busy this month! Since it was my birthday this month I got a few presents here and there so thanks to whoever sent me birthday wishes and gave me thoughtful presents! Plus shout outs to my friend Marina and Numfonh who organised a surprise event for me, although I found out, I watched way too many kpop hidden cameras to know when someone is tricking me, jks jks!
So first on my list is my new snapback I bought, which if you like Chanyeol you might recognise it since he wore it a couple times. I gotta admit that I bought it 20% because Chanyeol wore it but besides that I thought it was a cool design and I love how it has words on the brim.
My sister also purchased for me two tops from EXO bwcw range. I don’t wanna say this because I don’t want to seem like a bad fan but this is fake :(. The real one is a bit too unaffordable so she settled for the fake one.
The material are all really good quality for a fake, but if you do have the money and are super rich like $uho or something, you should probably buy the real version!~
My cousin gave me an awesome themed present she named ‘Summer Loving’, obviously since summer is coming up. The concept was ‘make up items that are waterproof and smudge proof’ .
She bought me this super cute Etude House hand cream which has little feet details that make it so much cuter. As expected from Etude House… I was wondering if they were to make these characters into SHINee characters so many people would purchase it!
She also popped in innisfree brown gel liner, which I’m excited to try since it’s waterproof (I think) and brown is a more natural colour as oppose to black, a colour I normal use for eyeliner. She also got me the juicy gloss pencil which has the most adorbs packaging!
This is the ‘Dear girls cute eye maker’ by etude house which I became interested in after watching a makeup tutorial. This product is meant to create an ‘aegyo-sal’ which is like cute, puffy eyebags, a trend in Korea. I must add that if you aren’t pale this product probably isn’t for you because the brown contouring side of the pen will not even show well on tanner skin.
I bought this popcorn lipscrub at lush because I need it, my lips are so dry since I’m on medication and this is a friggen lifesaver, plus you can lick it after your done scrubbing and it taste good… LOL
Oh! My Lash Top coat which prevents smudging and Drawing eyebrow, all by etude house!~
Daiso Brush cleaner!~ Works a charm & it’s cheap!~
Cute cat bowl from daiso!
Ombre Loreal Kit, yes I’m planning to ombre my hair, I’m kinda tired of my look and I feel like being experimental. Lets just hope it turns out well!~
Cute tea for 2 teapot!~
I don’t have an iphone but I got this for my cousin and I had to take a picture of it (for memory lol) since it is so cute!
Heart frame from ikea where I put all my sticker photos in~
A bag my friend got me from forever new~ It’s super cutee
Asos quilted bag, oh and must I mention asos shipping is so quick since the last time I purchased stuff from them. It literally takes max 4 days to ship to Australia!
Asos spiky headband!~
I bought this blouse at target and I really love the pearls and diamonds detailing on the collar.
Bought this dot top from temt!
I recently visited a cosmetic shop located in a mall in front of uts, initially I was there to take a look at the Korean and Japanese cosmetics but they were pretty pricey.
As I was taking a look around the shop I noticed they sold ‘Pink Pong’ a collagen water by Etude House from their Dear.girls collection. In Korea this drink is around $1.60 aud, whereas I bought it for about $7, which is pricey but the same price as getting it shipped in, so I just bought the product at the shop. Plus the bottle was too cute to pass by.
Calories: 160 Kcal
Volume: 330 ml
Collagen: 1,000 mg
My opinion on the product
It is a cute drink and I will definitely keep the bottle. If I were to describe the taste, it’ll be like peachy flavoured water. Nothing too special. It also taste like the Korean drink ‘2%’ but only a much more expensive and a bit more syrupy. Overall its a tasty drink but I am unsure if the collagen inside it is actually effective. And although it may not be worth the $7 it is definitely worth a try!
Hey guys! I’m back with a round up, I know that I didn’t manage to post up an October round up last month due to two reasons, I didn’t buy a lot of things and I was super busy with my exams. But now that they are over I can start blogging again. I decided to split November’s round up into two parts, this is part one, part two would be more about the gifts I received.
There will also be a lot of cosmetics posted in this post and I will try to post reviews quickly!~ Feel free to request anything you want to see me review first in my ask box!
I received the etude house products as a gift (I chose the stuff btw) and I was super excited when my Etude House Minnie products came in the mail. The first time I saw the pictures for the collection I just knew I had to have it since I love Disney stuff! Of course I wanted all, but I really didn’t need all the products so I only chose a few out of the collection.
First up is the super cute Minnie Mouse highlighter. It’s almost too cute to use because I don’t want the face to fade away :(. I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this particular product, firstly I’m already getting the Nymph Aura volumer which is a liquid based highlighter, secondly it seemed ‘chalky’ in the pictures.
I swatched the item and it isn’t too bad, I only swatched it lightly and it came out quite alright. I’m still sitting on the fence with this product so it will take me several uses until I make up my mind. But even if it is only decent the cute packaging makes up for it!~
I also want to mention that the packaging is better than I expected and is good quality. I kinda thought it looked a bit cheap looking at the pictures, but rest assured its nothing like that! Etude house never disappoints me when it comes to quality packaging!
I chose the red lipstick over the pink since I saw the swatches, and the pink one seems like it might settle into lines. I also swatched this and the colour is a really nice red, and it lasted long(Ran it under water to experiment and its still there)!
Cute nail polish with mickey mouse glitter face in it! I can’t wait to try it out!
I tried out this in a sample and I absolutely love it! The shop I bought it from also kindly added more samples of this in number 1.
Tonymoly lip tint I can’t wait to try out!
Essence make up from their ice cream collection that I was desperately trying to find in priceline. Luckily I picked up the lucky lasts~
This handcream smells amazing! It’s cotton candy flavour, I mean scent! haha! It’s by this brand called Urban Rituelle, I’ve never heard of it before though…
The faceshop nail polish in a yoghurt colour! Lilac is my favourite colour for my nails and the specks in the nail polish just makes it even nicer!
Cheap stuff I picked up at target from the essence line. They are decent products not sure if the express dry drops work actually works though…
EXO K FOLDER!!! Weeee……
Cute typo pen holder!
A Bambi tumbler that comes with a tea strainer! Totally appropriate for me because I love my tea!
A blue bear calendar for 2014, just exactly what I needed! Thanks cuz!
I bought these shorts at target that have these umbrella prints on them. They look like sleepwear but they actually aren’t ! lol .
Polka Dot crop at sportsgirl!~
Lace, daisy top from valley girl~!
Saw this Henna dye at Daiso and was curious to try it out, haven’t got a chance to yet because I heard its a long and messy process.
I bought this eyebrow coat at daiso because it was a highly raved about product online. It actually works really well and keeps my eyebrow makeup on the whole day!
Hey guys! I’m back with another review and this time it is Etude’s house sweet recipe, dear my jelly lip talk. Darn what a long name. If you guys have seen this particular range from etude, which was out a while ago. You can tell that the collection is inspired by sweet desserts, hence the really cute, pastel coloured packaging. I’ve always wanted to try something from this collection but I never got the chance until now. I purchased this with my cousin on f2plus1 as a 1+1 special deal, so it works out to be a bit cheaper than other places online.
Judging from all the reviews I’ve read it seems like the lipstick formula is very sheer, so I decided to go for a darker colour. I chose the colour JOR203 which is like a dark coral, almost red lip colour.
My lips aren’t that pale, but the colour does show quite well. I would recommend girls who don’t have pale lips to go for a darker shade from the range because I think it will show better.
Overall I think this is a fantastic product at a very affordable price.I like it’s texture and hydrating factors since my lips tend to be dry so I always love any product that help relieve the dryness of my lips. This product would be awesome for people who dislike bold and dark lipsticks and are aiming towards a more natural look when it comes to make up.
For people who want a lipstick that is easy to wear, hydrating and affordable I highly recommend this lipstick!~
Ayo GG! September is finally over, I didn’t even realised it until I checked the date on my tab today and it was October 2nd. I was like quick gotta change my calendar to Chen, jks. But seriously in the holidays its like I’ve been living under a rock, I don’t even know the date. But anyways even though I say I’ve been living under a rock I have gone out and also bought some stuff!~ So here is my September round up! :D
First thing I got was a hat, it was actually a gift from my cousin who went to China. Its a funky cap lol with bright colours.
Visited top shop in the city and was happy to see some stuff on sale! I got a blue lace crop top and a cropped sweater. Normally I don’t wear cropped stuff but if I do I always pair it with high waisted bottoms so that minimal skin is showing lol.
I was skeptical about getting the sweater but my friend told me to just get it. I do like the material on it and I don’t even iron it. It’s perfect for the colder days of spring too!
I bought super comfortable wedges! If I’m wearing heels I normally go for wedges since they are more comfortable and easier to walk in. Plus I find that they go with a lot of my outfits since I dress pretty casually.
I just realised that there is a candy store near my place and they sell unique candies from the US. The pricetag is abit …er… yeah you get the point. I’m a bit of a hello kitty fan so when I saw PINK hot chocolate I had to get it! I made it and it tasted gross, it was, I don’t know how to describe the taste but it didn’t taste like it had chocolate in it.
I also got the Jelly bean boozled thing where you pick a random jellybean and it could either taste horrible or delicious. But there are two pairs of each colour, they both look and smell the same but one might be the horrible one. I got introduced to this by my friend and we did it on the train, lol like best place. Luckily I didn’t vomit because that would’ve been gross and embarrassing. But I got rotten eggs as the gross one, it’s not the taste that’s horrible but the smell that goes up your nose.
So I thought it was pretty cool and I wanted to try it out with my cousins. Got the funniest reactions and unfortunately I also managed to pick dog food. It was gross and the smell that bursted in the mouth was like beef canned dog food. The cheap versions! LOL
I bought this ‘Paint a pony’ for my sister at typo since she likes ponies. I thought it would’ve been a nice decorative piece for her apartment!
I bought pocky, just because of its heart shape. It costed me like $4.00 and there isn’t even that much inside. I just can’t resist cute packaging :(.
Dotti is having sales at the moment and I picked up this chiffon blouse for 10 dollars! BARGAIN!~
Highwaisted star shorts! They were too cute to resist!
Cotton on body is having a sale so I picked up this fluffy poncho thing! It’s so soft, comfortable and cute, I just throw it on when it gets a bit cold! It’s alot better then a nightgown too cause I can sleep in it.
Bought black shorts at trade secret because it looked cool how it only had a zip at the back. I also purchased a gold chain belt that has a tassel at the end to complement it. I was watching a sistar performance and they worse something similar, like black shorts with no buttons and a gold chain belt. They actually had a maroon blouse for their top and it looked really good so I am trying to find a maroon blouse!~
Dropped by daiso picked up some stuff for the dog and this uber cute heart plate. If you’ve heard of ‘Wengie’ a youtuber and a blogger, she has a video about dieting and portion control. In her video she featured this daiso plate and I thought that it was a great idea to keep your portion size controlled. For me the biggest section holds the veggies, the meat in the smalled section and the rice in the heart. The only downside of these cute plates is its non-microwavable but its 2.80 so I can’t complain! They also come in red but I ended up with the pink one!~
I bought a palty hair dye from yesstyle and I also posted a review, click here to view.
Bought a tea plunger since I love my tea!
Cropped top with a heart cut out at the back!
I’ve been really into the China plate kinda print on tops so I had to get this when I saw it at Temt!
$10 shorts from valley girl!~ BARGAIINNN
Hey guys!~ Today I’m going to be writing up my thoughts of a Palty hair dye I used and also show you guys the results. So I bought this hair dye on yesstyle for $12 and the site was having a free shipping offer for any purchase ( I think its still on so check it out if your curious!). The shipping took almost a month but I couldn’t really care less… it was expected.
I bought the dye in Nama caramel latte, I would’ve tried their newer, bubble hair dye line but the colours didn’t appeal to me as much. I’m really no stranger to palty hair dye and I’ve used their hair dyes around three or more times already. I’ve also used their bleach.
As you know, it’s hard to change asian, black hair into lighter colours like blonde or light brown. So if you are asian with virgin, jet black hair I will assure you that your hair won’t turn out like the girl on the box. But if you dye it more consistently it does turn lighter over time, but not dramatically like bleaching it.
So, what is in the box?
The box contains the hair dye mix, comb applicator and treatment. The instructions had English in it, I think the past few times I’ve used it, it didn’t have English…
The Result swatches:
The process is like with any other hair dye, apply and wait for 20 minutes. The scent reminded me of vinegar and bleach? Last time I used their hair dye it had a nice floral-y scent, but this might be because the colour I used last time was a lot darker so less bleach is required. I had no irritations whatsoever which is a plus!
The downside is that it doesn’t come with much product, there was just enough to cover my head and my hair is about medium in length.
As you can see my hair lightened up a bit and it has more of a yellow then red undertone. Before I dyed my hair with palty I actually used a blonde, drugstore hair dye since I kept my hair dark brown during the winter season.
My hair isn’t super damaged, it is a bit dry though but that is expected. I really wish they had more of the treatment instead of that tiny packet. ><. I do think that compared to American drugstore brand hair dye, Palty does a better job at lightening my hair.
I can’t really tell if I suit this hair colour since it’s a bit light. I don’t have a pale complexion, but make up does make lighter hair look better on me. The reason I wanted to go lighter because it’s spring and I think that light brown hair suits with all the coral colours of spring!
Overall Palty is a decent hair dye, worth trying out. They offer such a wide variety of hair colours, with the cutest names too!
Hi guys! It is finally Spring and the weather is definitely warming up! Being a spring baby, lol, I absolutely love spring because the weather is warm but it isn’t too hot. Plus all the clothes are nicer during spring! Winter has been a killer for me and I’ve really drowned myself in comfort food, so now I am starting to try to get back into shape ><.
So one of the things I’ve purchased during August was an Alpacasso, that I shall call Ace Junior, lol, he doesn’t really have a name but since Kris’s alpaca is called Ace, mine can be Ace Junior! LOL. I still remember the pictures of Kris and the alpaca at the airport and the fandom exploded. I also remember that the alpaca was so darn expensive on ebay back then, like $60 + and it isn’t even that big. I’m so glad I waited and got it for $30, its all over ebay now so if you want one for yourself check out ebay! Plus I didn’t entirely buy this because of Kris, I always wanted an alpacasso since it is sooo cute!
Next thing I got, was growl. I absolutely love the song, the choreography, the mv, and everything about it! Check out my post about it here if you haven’t already ^^. I also purchased a anti-radiant sticker that says ‘wolf’ at Rongbao, haven’t stuck it on yet though.
I also bought quite a lot of clothes for Spring, most of them were on sale for a reasonable price actually!
I got this Bambi top from Target for like $10, which was like half price. It’s original price was like $30 dollars or something. Like target actually has pretty expensive clothing…
Got this overall dress for $15 from Valley girl, it was such a bargain and it looks really cute. Do you guys have any kpop band that you subconciously buy the same style to? Because lately most of the things I buy remind me of A pink’s ‘No no no’. I seriously love all the cute kinda clothes they wear in their mvs!
I also got another Herschel backpack, as I mentioned before I absolutely love my other pop quiz one I use for school because it is convenient to put your laptop in and it fits plenty of things while looking stylish! I bought this one on urban outfitters for $40 on sale! What a bargain considering it’s price is over $100 in Australia!
A really cute dress from SES, it wasn’t on sale or anything but I don’t see it in stores anymore :/
Playsuit from Jay Jays, absolutely suits Spring!~
Shorts with a ‘sailor’ kinda feel to it *coughs*
sistarlovingyou*coughs*! Got it at temt.
Heart cut out blouse in a nice coral-y colour!~
Got this for $10 at Jay Jays and it’s original price is like 40 or 50 dollars! Yay, bargain!
Some cosmetics I’ve recently purchased and that I will review very soon!
More disney shirts, as you can tell I love disney.
Cute cases for my Note, the mint one screams spring as well. lol.
$10 High waisted jeans at Jay Jays!
